What is Canadian Experience Class
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an economic immigration program to retain workers with past Canadian work experience. This is also one of the Immigration programs of Express Entry and a Potential pathway to secure Canada PR. A minimum of 1 year of Canadian full-time Work experience within the last 3 years makes you eligible to apply for Canada PR under this Immigration Program.
Who Can Apply for the CEC Program
You are eligible to apply if you are:
- A Skilled Worker deployed in Canada on Intra Company Transfers from a foreign country and gained 1 year of work experience in Canada
- A student who completed studies and working in Canada on a Post-Study Work Visa and completed 1 Year of full-time employment
- Anyone who legally worked in Canada for 1 year within the last 3 years
Canadian Experience Class Requirements
- Must have 1 year of Full-time Canadian work experience in the past 3 years which is Skilled or Skilled Trade
- Meet the minimum language requirements of CLB 7
- Work Experience in any of the skill levels under the TEER category
- TEER 0
- TEER 1
- TEER 2
- TEER 3
- NO Job Offer is required to apply for Canada PR under the CEC category
- NO Need to prove Financial Self Sufficiency
- Additional CRS Points if you have a Job Offer or presently working in Canada
- Have Had legal Immigration Status while working, and studying in Canada.
Canadian Experience Class applicants have an edge over other Canada Immigration Programs and also the chances of obtaining a Notification of Interest from the Province they presently work or worked in the past, if their TEER code is deemed to be scarce.
